A small town man hires a struggling documentarian to follow him around and film his supposed alien abduction but as the shoot progresses, she becomes entangled in his web of delusions, as well as severe debts to dangerous people. She begins to wonder if he really believes he will be taken by extraterrestrials, or is he merely planning an elaborate escape from his bleak life.
